NOTE: This position is currently listed as “Onsite”; however, the Assignment under this request will provisionally be “Hybrid”, working 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive, unless otherwise identified. These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation. During the duration of the assignment you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Manager’s requirements for the Project you are assigned to.
NOTE: “The Statement of Work (SOW) shall expire on March 31, 2023. Clients will exercise its option(s) to extend the SOW beyond March 31, 2023 for up to 168 days (e.g. two additional extension terms of one year each. It should be based on the business case approval and remaining funds). Such extension(s) will be allowable only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2023 and be upon the same terms, conditions and covenants contained in the SOW.”
The Systems Analyst will
• Capture business requirements, assess technical features and capabilities to create and update business rules based on the requirements
• Provide Data Science services including Data Cleansing and Data Analytics
• Conduct testing, integration and deployment of each developed solution
• Provide realistic work estimates to support project planning
• Create Documentation for the purpose of training other technical IT Staff to support the deployment.
• Work with Microsoft Windows, Desktop and Laptop workstation support, General Server Environment
• Use enterprise Service Management Toolsets e.g. Remedy in order to manage encryption related tickets
• Respond to and co-ordinate encryption activities, between clients & vendor appointments based on approved and scheduled Incident, Task and Work Order Records.
• Execute system updates on the Key Management Facility system.
• Update tickets and the CMDB to document the activities (e.g. Key management, removals, etc.).
• Perform Audit activities as defined by the Radio Operations Manager.
• Respond to and execute on task based activities as per the PSRN ministry lead
• System Deployment, Operations & Management
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience in working in public safety organizations (Police, Fire, Ambulance)
• Strong technical knowledge in radio technologies
• Experience in dealing with logistics management
• All roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS.
• Security Clearance process, levels, roles etc. are subject to change without prior notice. Candidates may be required to undergo revised/new process (or levels) any time prior or during the term of the contract.

• Experience in the application of theories, principles and practices of voice, data, radio, information technology and satellite telecommunications engineering.
• Experience with systems and business operational disciplines and processes; skills in negotiation, conflict and problem resolution, change management and project coordination; current knowledge in new technologies and trends that may benefit emergency health services.
• Knowledge of server and network technologies, hardware and facilities requirements (data centres) along with IT security policies to identify and evaluate IT options for clients and to design, develop and implement technology solutions
• Experience with integrated voice and data switching systems, computer data communications architecture, radio-trunking systems design and P25 standards
• Experience with VHF and UHF radio technologies
• Experience with public safety dispatch systems integration and interface requirements to support continued interoperability of all systems and services
• Experience with creating and managing data sources (SharePoint Lists, NoSQL database, etc.).
• Experience creating custom reports, implementing change management and auditing data.
Analytical and Communication

• Understanding of emergency health services in Ontario including ambulance communications, operations and practices, associated standards, policies, and guidelines as well as interface with/delivery of other emergency communications services (e.g. police, fire) in order to support communications and interface requirements within the context of the emergency services framework.
• Knowledge of current and emerging radio systems technologies including voice, data, satellite, information technology and radio telecommunication systems used in the public safety communications centre environment in order to provide technical expertise, advice and troubleshooting support for communications systems within the assigned public safety communications centre
